What? Lokaal – Where? Brabantdam 100, Gent – Why? vegan, tea, allergilicious, delicious, wallet-friendly
One of my favorite places to eat in Ghent stays Lokaal, a vegan restaurant with delicious dishes and many sorts of tea. You only pay 6 euros for a week-specific soup, salad, sandwich, quiche or gratin. All dishes are made of local, seasonal, (mostly by the owner) self-grown vegetables: a plate full of vitamines assured in a cosy setting!
This time I enjoyed a delicious hot apple juice with herbs and an allergilicious gratin (with carrots, parsnip, jerusalem artichokes, mushrooms, millet, …). The owner, Arno, made me a gluten- and soyfree vegan apple pie. I couldn’t finish it what makes the perfect reason to go back to eat the rest of it! 😉
